Best old school burger in Conroe! We both had the tiger cheeseburger (3/4lb), mine with bacon. Fresh ground beef cooked to order. Thick in the middle but tapered off, flat-ish edges with a little crisp, but not a smash burger. Bun was soft and fresh, ingredients were also fresh and came together nicely. I recommend John's onion rings... Thinly battered, crispy and very tasty. Good size indoor dining area with a big shaded patio out back with a big okay area for kids. All in all a nice little laid back BBQ joint with friendly staff and excellent service.
Great spot for lunch. Stopped here the other day while traveling thru Conroe. The girl behind the counter was supper helpful and made few recommendations. The two meat platter was generously portioned and came with two sides. The brisket was great but the ribs were extremely fatty. The coleslaw was very good and the fries were done just right. The dining room is spacious and there's also an outdoor patio if you choose to eat outside. They also sell beer in addition to fountain drinks and lemonade.
Food excellent, service exceptional and ambiance was just what I needed! I recommend the pork ribeye, wow what a flavor.
Service: we were greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant, even though it was super busy at the moment. The lady taking our order was so nice and patient, my daughter had no idea what she wanted and don't have a voice right now. She helped us with all the questions we had and got us all squared away quickly, but not rushed. Everyone else working was friendly in general, great environment! Food: oh man, this place was sooooooo good! I am excited to go back and try more food. I got the sausage on a potato, let me tell you, it's my new favorite! My daughter got the country fried steak, it needed a little salt but otherwise was great. My mom hasn't stopped talking about the coleslaw since we left. Overall this place was the absolute best! We loved the people, food, and overall atmosphere. Guaranteed to be back, over and over again!

Went to visit my buddy in Texas and he suggested this place for BBQ. The food was delicious. The ribs had that delicious smoky flavor and wasn't dried out. The brisket was nice and tender where it just melts in your mouth. The sausage was good as well it being not too salty unlike other places. The potato tots were fried to perfection with every bit being crispy. The customer service is warm and welcoming. The price for lunch was very reasonable. I'd come back here again.
